 The LAD displays self-diagnostic messages on its display

Upon detecting a problem, the LAD with actuate its self-diagnostic contact and display an Error screen, showing the code relative to the failure underway. The meaning of failure codes is shown on the following tables, respected the digit of the display where the code is exhibited. In the event of simultaneous failures, the number displayed by a given digit will be the sum of the individual Errors.

The meanings of fault codes are shown in the following table, respecting the digit of the display in which the code appears. The indicator system of codes are in hexadecimal encoding, in which the allowed character set is S={0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F}. Individual errors are indicated by the set M = {1,2,4,8}. If simultaneous failures occur, the indicated number in a given digit will be the sum of the individual errors and is thus indicated by the additional set C = {3,5,6,7,9, A, B, C, D, E, F}. Below is a table with the possible combinations of errors in each digit.

Temperature abrupt change in any of the RTD's

Poor contact or disconnection in the cables connected to the temperature sensor.

Check for the presence of poor contacts or disconnections along the entire path of the cables connected to terminals 1 or 2 of the temperature sensor, including connections to the LAD, terminal blocks, and the sensor itself.

Unshielded cables are used to connect the Pt100 sensor.

Check if shielded cable is being used in the connection from the temperature sensor to the LAD.

Shielding of the LAD connection cables to the Pt100 sensor, either not grounded or grounded in more than one location.

Ensure that the shielding of the cable connecting the LAD to the temperature sensor is grounded only on one side of the connection and at the advanced opposite end.

Internal failure in the temperature sensor.

Replace the defective temperature sensor.

Type 1 failure in the RTD-01RTD Reading Failure:

If the self-diagnosis has been corrected and the message persists, press the key  for 10 seconds. This action will prompt the equipment to update the reading, and the self-diagnosis will be removed from the display.

Viewing the self-diagnostic memory

The firmware of the LAD constantly verifies the integrity of its functions and the connected temperature sensors through its circuits and self-diagnostic algorithms. Any anomaly detected is signaled through the fault contact and displayed in the self-diagnostic messages on the equipment's display, aiding in the diagnostic and troubleshooting process.

The Self-Diagnostic Memory function allows you to access all diagnostic events that have occurred in the LAD, such as poor contacts in the wiring of temperature sensors or internal failures. This memory is non-volatile and cumulative, meaning it retains information about all events that have occurred, though not the specific times at which they occurred.

The Self-Diagnostic Memory is accessed by sequentially pressing the keysand.

To clear (reset) the self-diagnostic memory, press the key for 10 seconds. If there is any active diagnosis, the memory will be reset, indicating its occurrence. Press the key  to return to the display screen.
