How does the BM logic of the alarm by high or very high capacitance trend / high or very high tangent delta trend works?

Modified on Mon, 15 Aug, 2022 at 3:53 PM

The capacitance or tangent delta growth trend is a projection of when these values will reach the alarm level. Based on the actual value and the tangent delta and capacitance daily variation, indicated in BM as “pF/day“ and “%/day“ it is possible to estimate when these values will reach the high and very high alarm. The trend alarm is activated when this prediction results in a few days of the alarm value. For example, if the Tangent Delta Very High alarm is configured as ten days, and BM detects that, based on actual value and in the daily variation, the Tangent Delta Very High alarm will reach nine days, the alarm will be activated.
